Working on my 1989 renix jeep cherokee xj again. This issue I was having is the jeep would start but then die right away and I stopped hearing the fuel pump prime when turning the ignition on. another thing that works pretty well for this is buying an XJ!
I had 2 jeeps in the early 90s, recently purchased a 2014 2 door "Polar" edition JK, enjoying it, it was a $4200 upgrade, basically just leather, some mountain imagery on the gauges and seats, along with a bulge in the hood from what I can tell.

I kind wish Ford would go back to a body style like this. They've kinda been stuck on that retro 60's 70's inspired look for awhile.. which isn't bad but I feel it's about time they swap it up for a fresh look.

Nice ride along. Hard to beat that soundtrack of the rumbling and popping exhaust and whine of the compressor that only the Terminators bring. Just raw goodness. Enjoyed this with my headphones.

I put one of these flashers in years ago and all of the sudden I started hearing a repetitive clicking sound coming from that general area inside the steering column. The best way to describe it is "Click-click.........click-click.........click-click". It's absolutely maddening on road trips! It only happens when the ignition is on, but for some reason, not every single time. It seems to be a roll of the dice. It stops when I hit the brakes but starts again when I let go. I figured it was just a defective relay so I ordered a new one. Nope. The sound is still there. "Click-click.........click-click.........click-click". I'm going to have to take the column apart again tonight and confirm whether or not it is in fact the relay, and if it is, what else back there could be causing it to click. The possibility of both relays being defective is pretty low.
Yea sounds like an electrical issue maybe. I would check all your grounds, connectors, and fuses

Hey man, question for ya, I had a 91 4.0l auto 2wd that I sold and now have a chance to buy it back (love the truck) but recently can’t across a 86 2.5L manual 4x4. I really want manual and 4x4 but hesitant because of the smaller engine. Any insight on your 4 banger? Can’t tell which truck I want since there’s trade offs on both trucks. Any help?
I love the 4.0L but I like manual more. The 2.5 is a great little engine. Comanches are very light so it does fine. Mine is a 2 wheel drive so it's about as fast as an 2.5L will be and it's still slow but it's fine. a 4.0L would be great in my truck tho someday
